Yearbook theme is 'Like Nothing Else'

This past summer yearbook editor Abi Rodriguez, marketing manager Destiny Cisneros, new staff member Sharif Goodlette and former UIL state qualifier and news editor Nathalie Marquez attended Balfour's summer camp workshop at the campus of Texas A&M at College Station. The students attended sessions with industry experts, came up with a yearbook theme and a cover design and planned the 2018-2019 journalism year with adviser Michael Damante.

While coming up with various concepts, journalism came up with "Like Nothing Else" as the official theme of Cy Springs Reflections 2018-2019 yearbook. The theme will carry over in the book as the class plans enterprising spreads that are unlike previous years.

"It was really fun sitting at the tables at A&M, and just searching for inspiration and throwing out new ideas," said Cisneros. " I’m very proud of our theme and what we came up with. I hope that the rest of the school can share our excitement!"

As the school moves on from its 20-year anniversary celebration, incorporating new pages, quizzes, and interactive spreads will all be part of increased coverage.

" 'Like Nothing Else' was really about cementing Cypress Springs new start," Marquez said. "With the school renovations as well as the rebirth of clubs under fresh leaderships, we wanted our yearbook theme to highlight our school’s unique aspects.”
