On April 27, Cy Springs will be hosting its annual Car Show and Swap Meet at the CFISD Exhibit Center, and that weekend there will also be a Mother’s Day craft market hosted by the Cy Springs FFA Booster Club.

If the Car Show rains out, the date will be moved to April 28. Admission to the show is free, car registration for the show is $20 in advance and $25 day of. Online pre-registration ends April 25, and on-site registration and staging is from 8 a.m to noon the day of the show.

The car show will include classic cars, modern muscle, trucks, and more. At the end 20 trophies will be presented to the top participants of the show in eight different categories. Trophies include “Overall Best of Show” and “Students Choice”. Awards will begin at 3 p.m. and goody bags will be awarded to all participants.

The show allows members of the community to showcase cars, and gives auto tech students a deeper understanding of a possible career path in the automobile industry.

“The truth is I enjoy seeing the students learn”, said auto tech teacher Jonathan Warren. “ And when they get that ‘ah ha’ moment, it’s amazing and I want to train young people to get into the industry.”

During the event they’re giving performers a chance to showcase their talent. All they ask is that it’s appropriate for a CFISD audience, and you bring your music and amplifier(if necessary) with you. They have to equipment necessary to connect bluetooth on their speaker.

If you’re looking for volunteer hours, Cy Springs FFA booster club is looking for volunteers in their Mother’s Day Craft Market from April 26-28 at the CFISD Exhibit Center. You can apply here.

This event will have over 100 craft show booths, live music and entertainment, silent auctions and BBQ concessions.
